Andean Tatu Ceremonies

When created with intention and tradition, tattoos can be portals of immense healing.

Tatus done in Ceremony 2024

What is a totem?

A totem is a spiritually charged talisman/artwork/object that is infused with great intention and protection so we may turn to its energy for support.

I tend to see the tatu totems as personalized prayers for my clients, a reinforcement of their greatest dreams. The inspirations are endless and always divinely protected through ceremony.

This medicine teaches us that all suffering comes to pass and heals over into something beautiful and more aligned to our true nature.

Anointing a totem on our bodies is a powerful way to take charge of our destiny as they offer us support in our path towards living in our purpose; in peace.

How to prepare for your tattoo ceremony:

  1. Before getting any tattoo keep your body well fed, hydrated, and that your skin where the tattoo will be placed is clear and moisturized.

2. Please come sober I DO NOT permit or suggest communing with hallucinogenic or strong plant medicines on the day of tatu ceremony.

3. Bring offerings, your medicine tools, talismans whatever you would like to see on our altar to bless for your tatu ceremony.

Could an Andean ceremony be right for me even if I don’t have South American ancestry?

I encourage my clients to come with an open heart and trust their intuition on whether this is the right ceremonial practice for them to take part in.

We are opening a space where both our loving ancestral lines and guides come forward to aid us in this process.  We create an altar or mesa together so please feel free to bring talismans and offerings and communicate with me about your needs in order to feel seen.

What is tattoo alchemy?

Tattoo alchemy is the transformational process of integrating medicine into your body & spirit through tattooing. When your skin is opened with the tattoo needles a portal is opened on you.  Tattooing can indeed be painful note that this pain is also an offering and demonstration of your dedication towards your transformation. The intention of the tattoo’s design is then placed through this portal and integrated into your being.

The ceremony we do before the tattooing blesses our intentions, your body, and the design. Honor this commitment each and every day, it’s no bippity boppity boo you’re healed now, honor yourself & integrate mindfully

give yourself grace during this transformation.

Feel free to reach out beloveds happy to reconnect after this process

Ceremony is an art of reciprocation and mirrored discovery.

What makes ceremony special to me is that wherever my clients are in their healing journey, whatever medicine that shows up for them is reflected back to me as a necessary lesson. We can jump through this portal of overcoming hand in hand and its nice to know that we’re not alone in our struggles. There is a deep resonance I experience with my clients that grounds me in the Andean philosophy that I am you and you are me, your problems are mine, let’s solve them together.
